Ernie Smith rocks Empathy Meets Love concert
MONTEGO BAY, St James — The legendary Ernie Smith brought the house down at the Empathy Meets Love charitable concert under the stars at the poolside of the Day O Plantation in Montego Bay last Friday.
The veteran singer had patrons from ages three to 93 years old rocking to his lyrical ballads such as Pitta Patta and One Dream.
Other performers on the night included Rory Frankson, Michael David, Joanna Walker, Shaundre Cowan and saxophonist Andrene Brown.
The event was hosted by the one-year-old Regeve Cares Foundation, in an effort to raise funds to assist Jamaicans who are sick and are unable to afford medical services not offered at their local public hospitals or clinics.
Chairman and founder of the foundation Ingrid Spence says “The team of volunteers is on a mission to help one Jamaican at a time, as many find it difficult to pay these medical expenses.”
