Caribbean Airlines flight diverted due to engine trouble
A Caribbean Airlines (CAL) flight bound for John F. Kennedy
International Airport in New York from Guyana, diverted to Nassau,
Bahamas late Saturday due to a mechanical issue with one of its engines.
In a statement, CAL said there were 134 passengers and seven crew on board flight BW 526 .
The plane landed safely at 10.51pm and was met by airport services.
The airline says the aircraft has been withdrawn from service and all appropriate inspections and procedures are in progress.
