Bounty rode high at Footloose
The turnout at last Saturday night’s staging of Footloose was more than the promoters, Broadway Productions, could ask for. The Mas Camp, at Stadium North, was filled to capacity, as patrons filed in to hear their favourite retro music and to also witness a performance by the self-styled 5 Star General, Bounty Killer.
“The turnout was pretty good and we promised our patrons a performance from Bounty and we delivered. He engaged the crowd with his catalogue of hits from the 90s and personally addressed the patrons as to why he missed the previous event,” said promoter Tyrone Dixon.
Although his performance was a bit short, Bounty reeled off the hits that have endeared him to legendary status among the dancehall faithful.
Songs including Caan Believe Mi Eyes, Eagle and Hawk, Cellular Phone and Fed Up had patrons on a musical high as Bounty delivered a workmanlike performance.
Prior to the Killa’s performance, DJ Arif Cooper and Scientist whetted the musical appetites of patrons, taking them on a nostalgic journey back in time to relive hits of yesteryear.
Said Dixon, “Our patrons love us. We always deliver on our promise. We are one of the few events where we give value to patrons and they can always trust that at Footloose you are guaranteed a great selection of music, non-stop vibes and dancing plus an amazing crowd.”
The next staging of Footloose is set for February 1 next year.
