Men held in Brook Valley gun find released without charge

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The police have released three men who were detained in connection with the seizure of a firearm and an assortment of ammunition in Brook Valley, St Andrew, a little over a week ago.

The men were released without charge following further investigations into the gun find by the police.

It was reported that between 5:00 am and 8:30 am, a joint police/military operation was carried out on Hemmings Way in Brook Valley. During the operation, the police searched several premises.

It was at one of these premises that the gun and ammunition were found.

They include:

One Rosso .387 magnum

Six .387 cartridges

Twenty 5.56 cartridges

Five .357 cartridges

Fourteen .22 cartridges and

Eighteen .22 LR cartridges
