Father of Antigua PM dies
ST JOHN’S, Antigua (CMC) – The father of Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne has died, according to a statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister.
It said Harold A Browne died on Saturday June 4 at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre at the age of 76 years. It gave no details of his illness.
The statement said that elder Browne was the father of seven children and “was the brother of several sisters and brothers in the United States”. He is survived by his wifefe Maude in the United Kingdom.
Browne will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 7, the statement added.
