JFF apologises to Reggae Girlz, staff and supporters
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) issued a statement on Wednesday apologising to members of the National Senior Women’s Team and Technical Staff, who faced challenges in regards to their luggage at the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport in the US, on July 19 as they travelled home.
“Quite frankly, after their historic achievement of qualifying for consecutive FIFA World Cup tournaments, that experience should not have happened,” the JFF said.
“We recognize that there have been recurring problems with travel arrangements of our national teams’ movement and commit to doing all within our power and control to correct these incidents,” the statement said.
The Federation also apologised to football fans and asked for the continued support of the Reggae Girlz.
