I-Ruga, Benzikie flex Money Mu$$le
HIGH school best friends reuniting after 20 years is the motivation behind Money Mu$$le by Benzikie and I-Ruga. Released Friday, the song is on the No Gravity Records label.
“Inspiration was drawn from the beat, working hard, and based on the progress of life and where we want to go,” said I-Ruga, whose given name is Conroy Jackson.
“I would really want the listeners to gain motivation and come to the realisation that with ambition, you can achieve anything from the minutest thing,” continued the singjay, who hails from Padmore District in St Andrew.
An accompanying video is slated to be released early next year.
Benzikie—whose given name is Benton Harris— is from Gordon Town in St Andrew. He always had an interest in doing a song with I-Ruga, whom he met while attending St Andrew Technical High School.
Money Mu$$le is Benzikie’s first single.
“The inspiration for this song started off with me just reflecting on where I am in life and the direction that I want to go and the perception of how others see me. This was never something planned,” said Benzikie.
Money Mu$$le will be distributed to all major streaming platforms via Distrokid.
I-Ruga made his debut in 2019 with Dear Mr Poverty. His other releases include: Love Sick; Ghetto Youths featuring Rau Darvin, and EMS; and Believe in Yourself.
