Dilston All-Stars confirmed one of four semi-final spots in the 2022 Winners Domino Christmas League after an impressive 150–126 win over the Correctional Services Team in their Group B encounter at Rae’s Water Store in Waterhouse on Tuesday.

With the win, Dilston All-Stars finished the group on top with 34 points, just two ahead of Correctional Services on 32 points. Correctional Services have also qualified for the semis.

It was a close affair between both teams for part of the first half, as they came out firing on all cylinders. Dilston All-Star then found some momentum and edged out a 76-72 lead at the break.

On the resumptions, both teams made several changes, as Dilston All-Star wanted to keep their advantage, while Correctional Services wanted to get back in the race. Excitement mounted as both Dilston All-Star and Correctional Services pounded each other, point for point.

However, Dilston All-Star proved the stronger of the two teams and extended their lead by 24 points late in the half. The previously unbeaten Correctional Services Team failed to keep pace with the homesters and crashed to their first defeat of the season.

White and Roxroy from the Correctional Services were named Most Outstanding Players for scoring 38 points in the match.
