Cavalier hold Harbour View in Premier League
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Defending champions Harbour View were held to a 1-1 draw for the second straight game after coming from behind to earn a point against Cavalier FC in their Jamaica Premier League game played at the Tony Spalding Sports Complex on Monday evening.
The result opened the door for second placed Mount Pleasant FA to take over the lead on Wednesday when they take on Molynes United.
Harbour View, who had played out a 1-1 draw against Tivoli Gardens in the previous game, inched to 15 points, one more than Mount Pleasant FA with Cavalier FC a point back in third place.
In the other game played on Monday, Arnett Gardens were also held 1-1 by Vere United in the second game of the double header.
In the first game, Orlando Russell gave Cavalier the lead when he scored in the 19th minute but Harbour View drew level just before half time, thanks to an own goal in the 41st minute.
In the second game, Fabian Reid opened the scoring when he gave Arnett Gardens the lead but Vere United snatched a point with a goal in the 61st minute.
ere United, who are yet to win a game, were getting a point in back-to-back games for the first time in the season and are on four points and second to last on the points table.
