Port Maria set to Rolling Out
The watchnight service is part of Jamaican tradition to ring in a new year. Residents of Port Maria in St Mary will welcome 2023 at the Rolling Out concert scheduled for Giant Supermarket in that seaside town.
Chris Boswell is president of Rolling Out Inc, organisers of the event, which is being held for the second time.
“Patrons can expect to have an amazing time worshipping without walls, and fellowshipping with each other like never before, while embracing the love of the Creator. It’s an highly anticipated family event,” he said.
A full cast of gospel acts will perform, including Bro Bungie, Rhoda Isabella, 2nd Chance, Kukudoo and Keron Clark.
Boswell told the Jamaica Observer that it is important he and his team present an all-gospel line-up.
“To set the stage for what life and living should be in the year ahead. God first and all things shall be added unto you. No ifs, and/or buts about it, many people believe in renewing their relationship with the Creator and give Him the glory for keeping them throughout the year and taking them into the next,” he said.
