Fans have until midnight Friday to vote for Jamaica’s Toshami Calvin in Miss Universe competition
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaicans have until midnight Friday to help Miss Universe Jamaica Toshami Calvin advance to the semi-finals of the 71st Miss Universe pageant through a public voting line which is now open.
The 26-year-old St Thomas native is competing for the coveted title against 84 women from across the globe. The competition is being held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Following the national costume competition on Wednesday, having channelled Jamaica’s national heroine, Nanny of the Maroons, and the prelims of the swimsuit and evening gown sections on Thursday, Calvin has quickly become a local favourite.
Supporters can download the Miss Universe app on Apple Store or the Play Store, search for JAMAICA and select the photo to vote. The first vote is free.
The 2023 Miss Universe pageant will get underway on Saturday, January 14 at 8pm (ET).
