Suspect charged in 2021 cop murder case
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A suspect has been charged in relation to a double murder that occurred on Big Lane, Central Village in St Catherine on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Charged with two counts of murder, conspiracy to murder, robbery with aggravation, illegal possession of firearm and illegal possession of ammunition is 27-year-old Tevin Passley, a chef of Swamp Road in Port Morant, St Thomas

Those killed were 40-year-old police Corporal Delwin Jackson, and 43-year-old Kenroy Chandler, otherwise called ‘Taxi Operator’, both of West Prospect district, Bog Walk, St Catherine.
Reports are that about 7:30 am, Passley and his accomplices pounced upon Jackson and Chandler and opened gunfire hitting them several times. Passley and his accomplices then robbed Jackson of his service pistol and an undetermined sum of cash.
A report was made to the police, and the men were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney, Passley was charged on Friday, January 13.
Passley’s accomplices are currently being sought by the police.
