Executive & Director Appointments

Ian Chinapoo has been appointed acting president of Guardian Asset Management and Investment Services Limited with effect from December 15.

Ron Schindler has been appointed a director of Seprod Limited effective December 19. He’s the former president of Clover Leaf Seafoods Corporation.

Jason Chambers has resigned as the managing director of Barita Unit Trusts Management Company Limited (BUTMC) effective December 31 but will remain on the boards of BUTMC and Barita Investments Limited. Ramon Small-Ferguson has been appointed the managing director of BUTMC and deputy chief executive officer of Barita effective January 1.

Sabrina Cooper has been appointed to the role of SVP, wealth management of Scotia Group Jamaica Limited and chief executive officer of Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited effective January 4.

Market Sales & Events

A director of Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances sold 100,799 shares for $1.95 on June 3 and another director sold 144,000 shares at $1.66 on December 7. A director of General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited purchased 34,840 shares on September 20. Senior officers of GraceKennedy Limited acquired 4,200 shares at $76.6725 each on November 28. A director of Everything Fresh Limited sold 488,000 shares at $1.36 per share to another director on December 21. A director of PanJam Investment Limited sold 1,700,000 at $55.20 each to a connected party for a total of $93.84 million. A connected party of Kingston Wharves Limited sold 133,843 shares valued at $4.13 million on January 9. A senior manager of Barita Investments Limited 39,900 shares on January 11.

Eppley Caribbean Property Fund Limited – Value Fund repurchased 6,066 shares for a consideration $283,520.88 between January 3 to 6 under its share buy-back programme.

Express Catering Limited and Margaritaville (Turks) Limited’s 2022 annual reports have been delayed. The reports are expected to be completed by January 20 and 31 respectively.

Tranche III of Mayberry Investments Limited’s upsized $7-billion bond closed on January 12.

The 138 Student Living Limited has changed its registrar and transfer agent from PwC Corporate Services (Jamaica) Limited to Sagicor Corporate Trust Services effective January 1.

TilaWind Corporatión S A has refinanced its loan with Banco Nacional at a lower interest rate and reserve balance on January 5. Tilawind is a 100 per cent subsidiary of CCEF ANSA Renewable Energies Holdings Limited in which MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited has an interest.

Honey Bun (1982) Limited will consider the payment of a dividend at its board meeting on Friday.

Eppley Caribbean Property Fund – Value Fund’s (CPFV) net asset value (NAV) remained flat for its first quarter (October to December) at Barbadian dollars $0.76. QWI Investments Limited’s NAV has declined from $1.27 to $1.22 for its first quarter. Sagicor Select Funds Limited – Financial’s NAV decreased from $0.743 to $0.708 for its fourth quarter and down from $0.808 at the start of 2022. Sagicor Select Funds Limited – Manufacturing and Distribution’s NAV decreased from $1.072 to $1.052 for its fourth quarter and down from $1.065 at the start of the year. Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited’s NAV increased from $15.70 to $16.44 for its fourth quarter and up from $12.46 at the start of 2022.
