Man killed during alleged confrontation with police in St James
ST JAMES, Jamaica – A man was shot and killed during an alleged confrontation with the police in Cottage district, Salt Spring in St James on Wednesday.
He is 20-year-old Romain Hamber of Cornwall Courts in the parish.
Reports are that one Taurus 9mm pistol with a magazine containing seven 9mm cartridges and one Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with a magazine containing six 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.
The matter has been reported to the Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau and the Independent Commission of Investigations.
