Good Friday worship and play
In keeping with Good Friday tradition many Jamaicans went to church, where they reflected on the significance of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection while offering up praise to God for His many mercies.
Others, though, used the day for non-religious activity, including an annual football tournament promoting peace in the troubled South St Andrew section of the Corporate Area.
