Dexta Daps earns his first US Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart entry with Bop, a collaboration with American-Nigerian singer Davido.

Bop debuted last week at number 22, but this week it backtracks to number 43. The song is featured on Davido’s fourth studio album Timeless, which was released on March 31 via Song Music.

Timeless debuted at number 37 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with first week sales of 17,000 in album equivalent units. It also opened at number two on the US World Albums chart, number one in Nigeria, number 32 in Canada, and number 40 in Ireland.

Davido previously collaborated with dancehall artiste Popcaan on the song Risky, which was featured on Davido’s 2019 album A Good Time.

And still on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, Jermaine Edwards’ Beautiful Day featuring Prinz and Rushawn inches up from 48 to 47, having peaked at number 18. The song spends its 9th week on the chart.

Moving to the streaming and sales driven Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers continue dominance of the number one spot with Legend clocking 170 weeks in pole position.

Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection rests at number two, while Sean Paul’s BPI-gold certified Dutty Classics Collection remains at number three.

Greatest Hits by UB40 is stationary at four, while reggae act Rebelution re-enters at six with Live at Red Rocks, an album which spent four weeks at number one in 2016.

Stick Figure occupies numbers six, seven and eight with Wisdom, World on Fire and Set in Stone, respectively.

Re-entering at number nine is Backyard Sessions: Malibu Edition by Iration which spent one week on the chart last year, peaking at number eight.

Damian “Jr Gong” Marley’s Grammy-winning Welcome to Jamrock album remains at number 10.

On Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart, Beautiful Day by Jermaine Edwards x Prinz x Rushawn, falls from 16 to 19. The song moves from 10 to eight on the Gospel Digital Song Sales chart.

Doing Better by Minister Marion Hall, formerly Lady Saw, takes over the number one spot on Hot 104.1 FM’s Most Requested Songs of the Week listing in the Cayman Islands.

Over on the Rebel Vibez Canadian Top Ten Reggae chart, the JUNO Award-winning single Reggae Party by Kirk Diamond and Finn, featuring Kairo McLean, spends another week at number one.

On the South Florida Reggae chart, Desperate Lover by Tarrus Riley is number one for a second week. Peace and Love (number 22) by The Fantells and Roll by Julian Marley (number 23) are this week’s new entries.
