Cops release more info on guns, ammo seized at St James wharf
More information has been released regarding the seizure of several weapons at the Seaboard Wharf in Freeport, Montego Bay, St James on Thursday.
Four firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were found at the facility. No arrests have been made in connection with the seizure.
It was reported that about 2:45 pm, a routine screening of a barrel was being carried out when anomalies were found and the police alerted.

Upon arrival of the lawmen, the barrel was searched and found to contain two Smith and Wesson, one Ruger and one Remington pistol, along with seven magazines and nine hundred rounds of 9mm cartridges.
Police said the items were processed and secured pending further investigation.
In January, 22 illegal guns and a large quantity of ammunition were seized at the Seaboard Wharf. In that incident, 21 Glock pistols and a Cobra revolver were found.

A disassembled gun was found in a barrel at the same wharf last month.
