Firearm seized in Falmouth

TRELAWNY, Jamaica – A team of officers assigned to the Trelawny Police Division seized a firearm during an operation in Water Square, Falmouth in the parish on Wednesday, April 26.

Reports are that about 1:15 am, lawmen were in the area when they saw a man walking along the roadway, whose action aroused their suspicion. On seeing the police the man ran and dropped an object. The object was retrieved and closer examination of the object revealed that it was a Taurus Millenium 9-millimetre pistol.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.
