Man dies in Portland crash
PORTLAND, Jamaica — A labourer of Hart Hill in Portland became the parish’s sixth road fatality of the year after the car he was driving collided with another along the north-eastern highway on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Odane Scott.
Scott’s black Toyota Starlet motor car crashed into a Toyota Axio travelling in the opposite direction.
The now-deceased became trapped in his vehicle following the collision and had to be freed by firefighters.
Both drivers were taken to the Annotto Bay Hospital where Scott was pronounced dead and the other man hospitalised.
