6 events for Best Weekend Ever

The directors of Best Weekend Ever (BWE), the luxury experience weekend that made its debut on Independence Weekend in 2022, have unveiled their suite of events at a media launch in Miami, Florida.

The event was staged at the popular Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Wynwood, Miami, on Thursday, May 25.

Guided by a tropical theme, attendees were greeted with a special cocktail and platters of Jamaican-inspired hors d’oeuvres as a prelude of much more to come.

“We had to have a launch of Best Weekend Ever 2023 in Florida because all the events included on the weekend are heavily supported by the Jamaican Diaspora, and we wanted to ensure we showed our patrons in the United States what we had to offer for this year’s staging as we all escape to paradise (Jamaica) for Independence Weekend, August 4-7,” said Dwayne Dacres, director, BWE and Daybreak Breakfast Party.

Publicist for the Best Weekend Ever Dania Beckford gets things going at the Miami launch held at Dukunoo Jamaica Kitchen.

With six events lined up over the four days the promoters have promised loads of fun.

It kicks off with I Love Soca Cooler Festival on Friday, August 4, then Daybreak Breakfast Party and Milk and Honey on Saturday, August 5. Sunday, Independence Day, starts off with Zimi Seh Beach then Allure. The final bash is Late Check Out on Monday, August 7.

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB)-endorsed event series is billed as “the epitome of high-energy music, local adventures, gastronomic diversity, top-shelf spirits, and most importantly an infectious vibe”.

Fabeion Dennisor, director, BWE and Milk and Honey Events, said: “We put a lot of thought into ensuring that this weekend had a little flavour of Jamaica with this BWE launch. Jamaica is indeed the greatest little country on Earth, and for our second staging we are not just catering to our partygoers locally; we have curated the very BWE for experience chasers globally.”

The musical prowess of Nocturnal Dre was on display at the Miami launch of the Best Weekend Ever.

Party music at the launch event was provided by Nocturnal Dre with special discounts for purchasers of season bands during the three-hour event.

The next launch event is slated for Kingston, Jamaica, in mid-June.
