TUCKER, St James — The finalists in the St James Football Association Victoria Mutual Foundation Uplift Under-13 competition will be decided today, June 6, following the semi-finals at Wespow Park, set to start at 10:00 am.
Former champions Corinaldi Avenue Primary and Barracks Road Primary, will face Green Pond Primary and Flankers Primary, respectively, with the winners qualifying for the final set for Friday, also at Wespow Park.
On-form Corinaldi Avenue Primary and Barracks Road, with perfect win records, will go into the games as favourites but could be made to work hard against teams that will be full of confidence.
After completing perfect first-round records, both Corinaldi Avenue Primary and Barracks Road Primary schools, scored comfortable wins in their quarter-final games last week.
Corinaldi Avenue Primary were 3-1 winners over Catherine Hall, while Barracks Road Primary came from a goal down to beat Montego Bay Prep 4-2, thanks in large part to two own goals.
Green Pond booked their spot after blanking Howard Cooke Primary in their quarterfinal game and Flankers beat John Rollins Success Primary 3-1 in their game.
