Jackson wins 200m at Zurich Diamond League

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two-time World Champion Shericka Jackson made light work of the women’s 200m at Thursday’s Zurich Diamond League meeting, winning easily in 21.82 seconds (-0.8m/s).

Six days after she ran 21.41 seconds, the second fastest time ever to retain her World Championships title in Budapest, Hungary, Jackson increases her lead in the Diamond League race as she improved to 24 points, beating Great Britain’s Daryll Neita- 22.25 seconds for second and American Kayla White was third in 22.33 seconds.

World Championships 800m finalist Adelle Tracey was third in her Diamond League debut, running 1:59.05 seconds while Natoya Goule-Topping who led with 150 metres to go faded to seventh in 2:00.10 seconds.

Laura Muir of Great Britain won with 1:57.71 seconds from Catriona Bissett of Australia- 1:58.77 seconds.
