COJO’s Summer Soiree heats up New York

THE Children of Jamaica Outreach (COJO) Summer Soiree fund-raiser on July 29 in Westbury, Long Island, New York, was a “hot” event by all measures. The beautiful summer day, punctuated by a 15-minute shower, was the perfect backdrop for the Style by the Pool themed event.

The models donned African-inspired fashion from popular Brooklyn-based Nigerian designer Moshood, Stoosh Boutique and Signature Closet Boutique. The audience also dazzled in their fashionable personal collections.

The COJO Summer Soiree was hosted under the auspices of volunteers Maurice and Fay Russell. Proceeds will help to provide scholarships to local tertiary institutions to wards of the State.

Here are highlights of the event:

These three buddies brought a certain je ne sais quoi to the event.
The shades of summer in these dresses are perfect for the event’s theme.
Chill, fab and having loads of fun..
These beauties understood the assignment, and came out all dressed up and ready to mingle.
