DJ Lethal Vybz scores with Our Life

Music producer DJ Lethal Vybz has scored with the Our Life Rhythm.

Featuring five tracks in all, the project was officially released on August 18.

“This work was funded by the City of Toronto to help build young, up-and-coming creative talents in the black community,” the producer told the Jamaica Observer‘s Splash.

Completed over the course of eight months, the rhythm features appearances by Jônelle, J Stvrr, Gyal Ediot, Jubbi Don, and Tipikcal.

Since its release, the rhythm has been trending on Audiomack and has amassed over 200,000 streams on Spotify.

As an independent producer, DJ Lethal Vybz is also a beat engineer and music advisor.

Being the nephew of reggae artiste Buju Banton, the producer has always had music ingrained in his DNA.

“I was a DJ and artiste manager for several years before transitioning fully into becoming a producer in 2020. I released my first project in October of that year, which featured a mix of Canadian and Jamaican artistes. The music I release is all about being creative and catchy,” he said.

Prior to the release of the Our Life Rhythm, the producer collaborated with SmokeShop Studios on another project called the Tek Di Lead Rhythm, which dropped on May 19.

To date, his most popular project is the We Ready Rhythm, which has garnered over 800,000 streams on Spotify since its release.

He has also worked with other artistes such as Pamputtae, Iyara, and Bryka.

Looking ahead, DJ Lethal Vybz has much more in store musically for his supporters to look forward to.

“My next move is to work with some bigger names in the industry and build with more new talents,” he added.
