UPDATE: One person feared dead in ravine crash

ST JAMES, Jamaica — One man is feared to have died after a vehicle plunged about 500 feet from Long Hill in St James into a ravine Thursday afternoon.

Observer Online understands that the man was described as unresponsive by passersby who went down the ravine to lend assistance to the injured people.

When passersby climbed down the steep, heavily vegetated mountainside to help pull the injured people clear of the Toyota Hiace bus, they discovered that students suffering from injuries were among them.
