Man shot dead during haircut in St Catherine
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A man was shot dead while receiving a haircut in Bendon district, Kitson Town, St Catherine, Saturday afternoon.
He is yet to be identified.
The man is of a bleached-brown complexion, about five feet eight inches in height, slim built and clad in a white merino, light blue jeans pants, black socks and a pair of brown Clarks.
It was reported that around 3:30 pm, the man was in the barber’s chair when he was pounced upon by an unknown assailant who opened gunfire, hitting him in the head.
Residents summoned the police who found the man lying on his back in a pool of blood with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head.
He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. No motive has yet been established for the attack, the police said.
