Rally Bop drops ‘Patience’
Patience, the latest album from Rally Bop, dropped September 19 on the deejay’s TSR Records. The set has 10 songs which are produced by the Atlanta-based artiste who is currently promoting the single, Badman Dance.
In late 2021, he released two albums simultaneously as he paid respect to his hip hop and dancehall influences. This time around, the songs are Jamaican to the core.
“This album is strictly dancehall with a touch of the ‘90s, early 2000s to present-day,” said Rally Bop, adding that he was hands-on while recording songs for Patience which also contains tracks like 90’s Badness and Bubble.
“I was definitely in full control of the creative process and the production. It’s mainly dancehall tracks with the potential to break in other markets,” he said.
Badman Dance and the title song have already hit the market. Rally Bop has plans to release more singles as Patience builds momentum.
The Linstead-born toaster released Shotta Life and Dancehall Trap The Album on TSR Records in late 2021. Shotta Life salutes his dancehall roots while Dancehall Trap The Album hears him rapping in homage to the hip hop sounds he first heard as a youth in The Bronx, New York.
Rally Bop was previously known as Trap Shotta Rally. He migrated with his family to the United States at 11 years-old, and quickly consumed the dancehall and hip hop culture that ruled New York City’s Jamaican and black-American clubs.
