KINGSTON, Jamaica -Jamaica’s national senior women’s team, the Reggae Girlz were held 2-2 by Guatemala in their Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup qualifying Group B game at the National Stadium in Kingston on Sunday.

After going behind in the first half and rallying to take the lead in the second half, the Reggae Girlz had to be satisfied with a point in the draw after losing their first game 2-1 to Panama last week.

The draw left Jamaica at the foot of the three-team group on one point from two games, Panama leads with six points from three games, two more than Guatemala on four also from three games.

After being tied 1-1 at half time, Zoe Vidaurre gave Jamaica the lead in the 52nd minute but the lead lasted only four minutes before Aisha Solorzano scored in the 56th minute to get her team back on level terms.

Leslie Ramirez had given the visitors the lead in the 28th minute but Jamaica rallied to get the equalizer in the 32nd minute when Melissa Johnson beat goalkeeper Alexia Estrada.

The Jamaican starting team was goalkeeper Aliyah Morgan, Malika Dayes, Lauren Reid, Chinyelu Asher (captain), Marlo Sweatman, Johnson, Ricshia Walker, Mikayla Dayesm Alika Keene, Zoe Vidaurre and Davia Richards.
