Party vibes for Masicka’s ‘Generation of Kings’ celebration
Grizzlys Plantation in St Ann was packed with ecstatic patrons on Saturday night who turned out to feast on the musical acts lined up for Masicka’s ‘Generation of Kings’ party birthday celebration.
The event featured well-known local artistes and selectors who whipped up attendees into a musical frenzy throughout the event.
There was high anticipation, though, for the man of moment Masicka to perform hits from his newly released album Generation of Kings.
The debut album for Def Jam recordings released on December 1, 2023 has dominated the billboard charts.
Attendee Karis Murray, told the Jamaica Observer that she has been having quite the time listening to her favourites from the album.
“My favourite song is Waterfall, and I listen to it every day. This album is a 10 for me; I can’t remember what songs I was listening to before the album,” she said.
Murray was spotted vibing among Masicka supporters on Saturday night. She travelled from Manchester for the night festivities.
“I just want to see Masicka perform, because I’ve never seen him in real life,” she shared.
The Genasyde boss graced the stage sometime after 3:00 am performing Limelight from his album.
Patrons responded with excitement.
Among the supporters of the celebrations was Chad “G Flex Boss” Trail, who expressed that he was pleased to have the Genasyde boss performing in St Ann.
“It’s been a while since Masicka is in Ocho Rios, so we come out to see that booming performance and me mostly want a good performance out of the album so we can vibe with it on a different level,” he said.
Masicka was later joined by Lila Ike and Chronic Law to deliver Triumph, on which they are featured.
The vibe was nothing short of epic, as artiste such as Jashii, Shaneskull, Bounty Killer, and Wayne Marshall also took to the stage to deliver a whirlwind performances.
The line-up also featured Romain Virgo and Kabaka Pyramid who kept the crowd on their feet.
