Director Icey Jace adds a Marley to his résumé
… confirms Julian Marley visuals for single Made For Your Love
After a decade of creating visuals for the likes of Bounty Killer, Wayne Wonder, Sean Paul, Skillibeng and Charly Black, video director Christopher Campbell more popularly known as Icey Jace, has added a Marley to his list of clients after nabbing director credits for the likes of Julian Marley.
In a release on Friday, it was revealed that Icey Jace was tasked to execute the music video for Marley’s single, “Made For Your Love”.
The new video which was shot on South Beach in Miami is the latest single from Julian Marley’s grammy-nominated album, “Colours Of Royal” which was released early this year for Monon Records.
According to Icey Jace, the experience of collaborating on a project with Julian Marley was memorable.
“Over the years I’ve shot for many dancehall and reggae legends even more recently I did a project with Sizzla, so getting the opportunity to work with Julian Marley was another proud moment for me. The weather was great and we utilised several key locations that will certainly captivate viewers,” he said.
The music video is scheduled for release on January 3, 2024.
Meanwhile, having recently returned to the island from Colombia where he captured show performances for Dancehall deejay Leftside, Icey Jace says more and more youngsters are entering the directing field, something he believes is good for the profession.
“Now more than ever before more youngsters are picking up a camera, whether it be to shoot music videos, weddings, event coverage or just content creation the advancement in technology has made it easier than when I started,” he said. “I believe in the coming years we will be able to produce high quality video content locally that can be compared to that of the international market.”
