OVO clothing enlists Creep Chromatic for new collection
Chromatic Sound System co-founder Warren “Creep” Lee is a featured star of a new international collection by Drake’s October’s Very Own (OVO) clothing brand.
OVO’s International OG Collection featuring Jamaica, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, the Philippines, and South Africa, is set to drop in stores and online on January 24.
A promotional campaign by the clothing brand features photographs of Creep Chromatic dressed in OVO apparel at a number of different locations across Jamaica’s capital including Port Royal, downtown Kingston and Freeway, a frequent “endz” for Creep and his friends.
The photos were shot by local entertainment photographer Prod.By Nick (Nicholas Gregg) and produced by Cheraine Marshall.
Chromatic is among the most popular sound systems in Jamaica’s party scene. It was co-founded by Creep and the late Nicholas “Niko Chromatic” Grant. Other members include Shantonio, Heavy D and Jr.
The relationship between OVO and Chromatic dates back almost 10 years as the brand has a long association with Jamaica through its founder Drake, who often shows love to the culture and has a number of collaborations with the island’s dancehall stars, including OVO artiste Popcaan for whom Creep was once the official DJ.
