G Whizz drops ‘We Rise’, says 2024 is the year to do more in music
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Still enjoying the fruits of what he labelled as a ‘successful’ sophomore album, recording artiste G Whizz says he’s looking forward to even bigger and better things in 2024.
Having already released his first single and accompanying music video for the year, the entertainer told Observer Online that he expects 2024 to bring him nothing but greatness.
“We’ve been putting in the work over the years and so we’re just going to continue that trend and just let the work speak for itself. We have a new single out now called We Rise that we just released the visuals for and it’s been doing great so far,” he said. “Its been added to a few playlists and the visuals have been receiving good feedback for its high quality and just overall, clean and clear look and feel.”
The track produced by Richard Roache of Digital One Music on his Proclamation Riddim tells the tale of perseverance and, according to the entertainer, should be an anthem for anyone who has had to overcome obstacles on their journey to greatness.
“We Rise” is just a beautiful song with a powerful message. Everybody goes through trials and meets obstacles on this journey called life but we affi overcome and ‘rise’ above them,” said G Whizz as he heaped praises on the producer for allowing him the opportunity to create a single with such a powerful message.
“Digital One is more than a producer to me innu, he’s more like a friend. He produced a few tracks on my album, Just Winning, and so this is just the latest project we collaborated on. There’s definitely chemistry there. We’ve produced some solid songs over the years and this one will be just as great. We Rise 2024 and we’ll do more.”
The single is available for streaming on all major digital platforms. G Whizz is urging music lovers to support the track.
“For a song to reach where it peaks, it doesn’t take a week or two week of play, it takes consistency so as long as we get that we’re good,” he said. “It’s a great track so people just need to take the time to listen to the music, support the music and it will do what it needs to do. It will reach where it needs to reach.”
