Another man charged in connection to Westmoreland murder
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – Detectives assigned to the Westmoreland Police Division arrested and charged another man with the murder of a 19-year-old year-old man on January 18.
Charged is 30-year-old Javanie Bacchas of Johnson Bush, Top Road, Little London in the parish. His co-accused is 18-year-old Wade Dennis.
Bacchas is accused of killing Enrico Chambers, otherwise called ‘Rico’, of Broughton District in Little London.
Reports are that about 9:00 am, all three men had a verbal dispute, when Dennis and Bacchas threatened Chambers before leaving. They allegedly returned shortly after armed with machetes. The men reportedly chased Chambers and chopped him multiple times. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police acting on information went to a premises at Top Road, Little London where Dennis was seen and apprehended. He was charged on Monday, January 29 based on an eye witness statement.
Additionally, on that same day, Bacchas turned himself into the police. He was subsequently charged on Friday, February 9 following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
