KFC returns as exclusive fast food partner for GenXS and Xodus during carnival

KFC Jamaica is back on board as the exclusive quick service food partner for carnival bands GenXS and Xodus for Carnival in Jamaica 2024.

The fast food provider said it will be enhancing the overall experience for carnival lovers through a myriad of activations throughout the carnival season, highlighted by giveaways of free tickets to carnival events, free carnival costume prize packages for revellers, KFC product giveaways at sponsored carnival events, and free meals and fan engagement when revellers take over the streets of Kingston for the carnival road march on April 7.

“Carnival has taken Jamaica by storm, evolving into a premier entertainment for locals, regionals and internationals alike. As a proud sponsor of Jamaica Carnival, partnering with Xodus since their inception in 2017 and GenXS since their entry into the market in2023, KFC sees the carnival scene as the ideal platform to engage with and reward its loyal customers with an unforgettable and flavourful experience. There is no carnival without KFC – the brand’s flavour, energy, and excitement align perfectly with the Xodus and GenXS carnival experience,” Restaurants of Jamaica’s Brand Manager Andrei Roper said.

To add to the excitement of the carnival season, KFC said it has added a t-shirt costume section with both the Xodus and GenXS bands to enhance the overall atmosphere and create lasting memories for both KFC and carnival lovers.

Additionally, KFC and soca lovers can look forward to biting into delicious hot wings, which will be featured throughout the season at all remaining Xodus and GenXS events leading up to and including on road march day, including Xodus Fete Gala (April 3), Xodus Tailgate (April 4), Xodus Remedy (April 6), and GenXS Immortals Jouvert (April 6).

Taylor Chung, Project Manager for the Xodus carnival band.

“The food and music in Jamaica set our carnival experience apart from all the others in the Caribbean and internationally. We cannot speak to the Jamaican experience without mentioning our food, and through our partnership with KFC, we can provide our local and international patrons with a taste of Jamaica. As the biggest Carnival band in Jamaica since its inception, Xodus Carnival looks for the biggest and most successful players in every industry to partner with. KFC Jamaica is respected and celebrated all over our island, so it only made sense for us to welcome them into the Xodus Family. KFC’s support has allowed us to further enhance the brand by providing a globally loved product to all revellers,” Xodus Project Manager, Taylor Chung, who shared her thoughts on the collaboration, said.

In celebration of the partnership, KFC will also treat fans to the opportunity to win free tickets to all remaining Xodus and GenXS events via their social media platforms. Social media followers will have the opportunity to win free KFC t-shirt costume packages, which will further enrich the experience.

Also highlighting that this partnership is a big deal, GenXS Director Kino Johnson emphasised, “KFC has been dubbed the Jamaican party-goers’ national dish’! Many of our travelling ‘GenXSers’ have put ‘Get KFC’ as a must-do when you touch down in Jamaica. It’s all good, nationalistic fun, and we welcome this great partnership.”
