NEWPORT-FERSAN (Jamaica) Ltd, the leading provider of fertilisers locally, Tuesday announced a price reduction on all granular fertilisers, effective April 2, 2024.

“As part of Farmers’ Month celebrations, customers can now enjoy reduced prices of up to 13 per cent off ex-factory levels for all granular fertilisers,” the company said in a release.

“We are delighted to offer these significant price reductions on our granular fertilisers,” said Denton Alvaranga, sales manager at Newport-Fersan. “This initiative not only demonstrates our commitment to supporting farmers but also reflects our ongoing efforts to provide high-quality agricultural solutions at affordable prices.”

In addition to the price cuts on granular fertilisers, Newport-Fersan will also offer price cuts on select soluble fertilisers and discounts on other agricultural inputs this month. However, the company said the price reductions on granular and soluble fertilisers will continue beyond Farmers’ Month, ensuring long-term affordability for farmers.

“These promotions are in line with the company’s mission to meet the diverse needs of its customers and contribute to the growth and success of the agricultural sector,” said the release.

The company urged farmers to take advantage of the special offers during Farmers’ Month to maximise their crop yields and enhance their farming operations.
