Bunji Garlin ‘Spark Di Vibes’ with GenXS
It was an electrifying energy on the road with the GenXS carnival band as hundreds of revellers and spectators enjoyed an exclusive road march performance with the Viking of Soca, Bunji Garlin on Sunday April 7.
Performing major hits from his catalogue to the delight of the audience, Bunji Garlin, who is no stranger to Carnival in Jamaica, had the revellers hyped during his set, performing crowd favourites to include Ready for the Road, Truck on the Road, Hard Fete, Famalay, and
Carnival Contract.
The artiste, along with his soca royalty wife, Fay-Ann Lyons also performed at Bacchanal J’Ouvert on Carnival, Friday, April 5.
Speaking about his experience at Carnival, Bunji Garlin shared that the energy in Jamaica is always great and welcoming, calling it home.
“I had to come off the truck and chip on the road in the vibes. I love to get to the centre of the force”, he said about road march.
Powered by Sparkling CranWATA, hundreds of masqueraders, beautifully adorned in their costumes, converged around the ‘Spark Di Vibes’ truck to get an up-close and personal vantage point of the high energy performance.
The multiple soca monarch winner also commended the team that hosted him.
“Love goes out to the Wisynco and Sparkling CranWATA team, who were so professional with handling everything and making the experience smooth and seamless,” he said.
“It was such a pleasure hosting Bunji Garlin and witnessing his spectacular performing as well as seeing how the crowd engaged with our brands on the road,” said Brit’ni Riley, consumer marketing manager – sponsorships, Wisynco Group.
“Carnival was a massive success for us… At Wisynco, we are big supporters of celebrating all things Jamaican, and Carnival is one such key calendar event for us that celebrates and highlights our unique culture and spirit as Jamaicans,” Riley added.
