Intrestntimesahead makes his seasonal debut in Sunday’s staging of the $1.75-million Prince Consort Stakes, a Graded Stakes contest for native-bred three-year-old colts and geldings over 7 furlongs.

The Prince Consort is one of the major preparation races on the ‘Road to the Triple Crown’ series of races.

Below is the analysis of the nine runners entered and their chances of winning.

1.CROWN CHASER: (3 b c by Bern Identity – Salty Talk) – Made a winning debut on January 28 when beating rivals by 11 lengths in a 6 ½-furlong contest.
Crown Chaser won in a time of 1:21.3 on the bridle. He should get this distance and could challenge for top honours here.

2.J SPIETH: (3 gr c by Spieth – Alice and Trixie) – Finished a close second to Allegiance in the Sir Howard Stakes over 6 furlongs on March 24. With Allegiance presence here, along with the champion Two-Year-Old from last season
Intrestntimesahead, J Speith’s chances of winning are very slim. However, he should run a good race nonetheless.

3.MATUSO: (3 b c by Casual Trick – Puddy Pooh) – A winner on last who is going find repeat a difficult task here.

4.CAPTAIN SPARROW: (3 b c by Savoy Stomp – Rackam’s Mistress) – Released the maiden on March 30 over 7 furlongs.
Captain Sparrow is going to be left behind in this one.

5.INTRESTNTIMESAHEAD: (3 b c by Bold Conquest – My Friend Lucy) – Easily defeated rivals by 3 lengths in the Jamaica Two-Year-old Stakes on December 26, 2023.
Intrestntimesahead has been timely prepared for his seasonal debut and based on his class, he should return with a bang.

6.ALLEGIANCE: (3 ch c by Midnight Hawk – Princess Geeta) – Upset rivals in the recent Sir Howard Stakes on March 24 over 6 furlongs.
Allegiance came from behind runners to win the race by half-length in a time of 1:16.1. He is going to love this extension in journey and could again be the spoiler.

7.TEFLON DON: (3 b c by Casual Trick – The Lady Scored) – Finished a disappointing fifth place in the Sir Howard Stakes on March 24. Expect an improve run from
Teflon Don here.

8.UNRULY DON: (3 b c by Savoy Stomp – Lady Mandi) – Has no chance of winning here.

9.MIDNIGHT GALAXY: (3 gr c by Midnight Hawk – Galaxy Miss) – Got home in the stewards’ room
