Former champs JR Success Primary target back-to-back wins
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Former champions John Rollins Success Primary will be going after back- to- back wins on Monday when they take on another former winners Granville Primary in their St James Football Association/Victoria Mutual Foundation Under- 13 Zone B game at Wespow Park, set to start at 11:15 am.
John Rollins Success won their first game, beating Lethe Primary 6-1 and takes on a Granville Primary team that drew their first game 1-1.
Flankers Primary who leads Zone B with four points from two games will play MoBay Prep in the first game of the triple-header, while Albion Primary, who are on three points, faces Lethe Primary in the third game.
Flankers Primary beat Albion 3-0 last week after drawing their opening game, while MoBay Prep lost their opening game.
Defending champions Corinaldi Avenue Primary and Maldon Primary in Zone A, as well as Howard Cooke Primary in Zone D, have all won their opening two games.
On Friday, Buckingham Primary and Glendevon Primary played out a 2-2 draw, the same scoreline as Barrett Town against Green Pond Primary.
Buckingham Primary led but had to come from behind to earn a draw.
¹Jaquan Allen gave them the lead in the 20th minute before Jevorn McLennon drew Glendevon Primary level in the 56th minute and Nasean Clarke gave them the lead a minute later.
Domonic Gooden scored his third goal of the season in the 60th minute to salvage a point for Buckingham Primary.
In the other game, Green Pond came from behind twice to earn their first point.
Shevaun Anglin gave Barrett Town a ninth minute lead but D’Andre Plummer scored in the 16th minute to equalise for Green Pond.
Raheim Sterling restored Barrett Town’s lead when he scored in the 20th minute but Craig Foster’s 45th minute goal saw Green Pond earning a draw.
