Two charged after theft of poker boxes from St Elizabeth bar
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A tattoo artiste and taxi operator have been charged with shop breaking, larceny as well as receiving stolen property following an incident at a bar in Wilton district, St Elizabeth on Thursday, April 11.
They are 42-year-old Ceon Bolton, otherwise called ‘Kevin’ of Wharf Road, Smithfield, Westmoreland and 32-year-old Glenton Swaby, otherwise called ‘Dubba’ of Park district, St Elizabeth.
According to reports, at approximately 5:00 am, an alarm was activated at the establishment, prompting the bar owner to notify the authorities. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered that two poker boxes valued at approximately $1 million were missing from a wall inside the bar.
Bolton and Swaby were subsequently apprehended during a police vehicular checkpoint on Thursday, April 18. A search of their vehicle reportedly uncovered two poker boxes, which were later confirmed by the bar owner as the stolen items.
Both men have been charged and are awaiting their court appearance.
