Banadura headlines 21 horses provisionally entered for The Portmore

Twenty-one three-year-old fillies have been provisionally registered for the 2024 edition of The Portmore, a Grade 11 event set for Saturday, May 4, 2024.

The Portmore, a seven-and-a-half-furlong event, has drawn some of the division’s strongest contenders. Leading the effort is Banadura, Jason DaCosta’s outstanding protégé.

Banadura enters the event with a fearsome reputation, having previously won the Hotline and Thornbird Stakes. She will carry the maximum weight of 126 pounds.

O So Smart, Steven Todd’s conditioned filly, follows closely after.
O So Smart carries 119 pounds.
