St Mary schoolboys slapped with wounding charges following gas station brawl
ST MARY, Jamaica – Three male students of Tacky High School in St Mary were reportedly involved in an after-school brawl on Tuesday that left them nursing injuries and resulted in them being slapped with wounding with intent charges.
Reports from the police are that the teenagers got into a dispute at the Texaco gas station while waiting for transportation in the town centre. One of the boys is said to be 14 years old, the other two are 16.
It is alleged that one of the older boys attacked the 14-year-old, stabbing him in his shoulder. The two older boys also allegedly received injuries to the shoulder, throat, elbow, and face.
All three were charged following the altercation.
The St Mary Community Safety And Security Branch was called in and an intervention made at the school.
“We stand resolute in protecting the nation’s children and condemn any acts of violence against our children,” acting head of the St Mary police DSP Kevin Francis said.
