High-energy entertainment for Jill Stewart Mobay City Run today

The 8th staging of the recently rebranded Jill Stewart Mobay City Run (5K Walk, 5k Run, 10K Run), which takes place this Sunday, May 5, will feature an exciting entertainment package.

According to DJ Bambino, one of the hosts the entertainment, good music and high energy vibes will be the order of the day.

“We will be hyping up the runners with some good music and vibes before the race so they can stay motivated during the run. Expect lots of fun, excitement, great networking, and an awesome team-building exercise for a good cause,” Bambino told the Jamaica Observer on Friday.

He continued: “Running shoes will become dancing shoes because after the Run it’s the after-party with Shuga, Benzly Hype, Burgerman, and myself.”

Under the theme ‘We Marry Sports with Education’, the Jill Stewart Mobay City Run will take place at the Old Hospital Park on Jimmy Cliff Boulevard in Montego Bay.

More than 3,500 recipients will receive financial support to pursue higher learning thanks to the proceeds from the event.

The run was recently renamed in honour of the late Jill Stewart, wife of executive chairman of Sandals Resorts International, ATL Group, and the Jamaica Observer Adam Stewart.

Said DJ Bambino: “What is significant this year is the fact that it’s named after Jill Stewart, who was one of the most genuine people who showed great strength in her time with us and was also an avid runner.”
