JPCCU Foundation to host second annual Benevolent 5K Run/Walk
JAMAICA Police Co-operative Credit Union (JPCCU) Foundation, a distinguished, non-profit organisation dedicated to positively impacting the lives of fellow Jamaicans, is thrilled to announce the second annual JPCCU Foundation Benevolent 5K Run/Walk.
Themed ‘Stride with Heart, Body, and Mind: Live with Purpose’, the event is set to take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024, starting at 6:30 am, at Police Officers’ Club on Hope Road, Kingston.
JPCCU Foundation has earned accolades for its unwavering commitment to supporting JPCCU members, providing crucial financial assistance for medical expenses and procedures as well as enhancing educational prospects through scholarships and bursaries.
Now, with the Benevolent 5K Run/Walk the foundation aims to further its mission of fostering community solidarity, wellness, and philanthropy.
“This event is not merely a race; it’s a celebration of kindness and mutual support within the community. Participants will join together to demonstrate their commitment to a healthier lifestyle while contributing to a noble cause,” Dormah Harrison, chairman of JPCCU Foundation said, noting that the team is excited to host the second annual JPCCU Foundation Benevolent 5K Run/Walk.
He added: “This event represents an opportunity for individuals and teams to come together in support of our mission to provide relief to Jamaicans facing economic challenges or unexpected hardships. We invite everyone to join us for a day of fitness, fun, and philanthropy.”
Individuals interested in participating can register for the 5K run/walk at a fee of $2000 per person. Additionally, teams of 20 or more persons can avail themselves of a discounted rate of $1500 per person, encouraging group involvement and enabling more people to contribute to the cause.
