Grace Foods celebrates moms
GRACE, a leading Caribbean food manufacturer and distributor, through its numerous brands sponsored several activities last weekend to celebrate and honour moms across the island, in recognition of Mother’s Day.
Kicking off the weekend activities on Friday, May 10, the family centred brand hosted several pop-ups in Kingston and Portmore, surprising unsuspecting moms with special gifts at Joong’s Supermarket and Master Mac in Portmore; Sir William Grant Park, downtown, Kingston; and Fontana, Waterloo Square, St Andrew.
Mothers were delighted to receive a special tote bag emblazoned with the message “Best Mom Ever” and containing an assortment of treats and Grace Foods items.
“Mother’s Day is a time to honour the incredible women who shape our lives with their love and dedication,” said Christeana Smart, Grace Foods brand assistant, noting that the pop-up activation is one of several initiatives the brand used to show its appreciation to mothers, who are the backbone of the society.
Carmen Hull, a vendor in downtown Kingston, expressed her gratitude to Grace Foods, saying, “This is a wonderful surprise. It truly made my day and reminded me of how special being a mom is.”
On Sunday, May 12, Mother’s Day, the team from Grace Foods was busy at several restaurants across the island, gifting mothers with baskets of goodies as they dined with their families at: Father Bull, Montego Bay; all three Gloria’s locations — Port Royal and downtown Kingston; and Peppa Thyme, Constant Spring road.
Grace Foods Tropical Rhythms was also the premier sponsor of the Father’s Who Cook Mother’s Day Brunch which saw moms treated to special cocktail mixes, gift baskets, and other specially curated giveaways.
Also receiving many special treats on Mother’s Day, courtesy of Catherine’s Peak, were 12 moms who recently gave birth at Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston. Catherine’s Peak visited the maternity ward on Sunday and surprised the mothers with gifts for them and their newborns. Each mother received a hamper filled with all things for her and baby, plus a case of Catherine’s Peak water.
The mothers, who were all surprised, expressed their gratitude for the gifts.
