What Shelly wants, Shelly gets!

What Shelly wants, Shelly gets!

Big fact: All eyes will be on three-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce when she hits the track at the Paris 2024 Olympics — and for good reason. Not only is she the most decorated female sprinter in history, but her style and her always-laid hair make her one of the most captivating sprinters to watch.

And since her Paris race-day ‘dos are still top-secret — her go-to hairstylist Lakayda “@puddonplussweet” Gordon says “Not even my team has seen them” — we’re paying homage to the Sprint Queen with a recent fave: The Super Sleek ‘Bussdown’ Dip-Dyed Black, Green and Gold wig by Gordon for the trending Digicel ‘One Jamaica’ Summer campaign.

Gordon got her break doing Fraser-Pryce’s hair in 2019, and it has been nothing but magic ever since! She’s responsible for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics looks we all loved, and is the talented hand behind the ‘dos seen in the Olympian’s Nike, Richard Mille, Grace Foods, and Digicel campaigns.

From Puddon:

“Shelly-Ann is a lover of the centre-part hairstyle and loves straight hair. She admires my creativity, work ethic, and how I meet her needs for any theme required for her photoshoots. She is always happy to model her Jamaican colours and likes versatility. For the Digicel ‘One Jamaica’ Summer campaign the Jamaican colours were customised on detachable clip-ins, so if Shelly wants to remove them and go all-natural, she can,” Gordon tells Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD).

Puddonplussweet Waterproof products are what I use all the time on Shelly-Ann. Because of Shelly’s athletic lifestyle, Puddonplussweet waterproof products work perfectly for her, on and off the track.

Shelly is never wrong, for me. What Shelly wants, Shelly gets!”

You can catch Fraser-Pryce and her dazzling hairstyles when she competes in the women’s 100-metre prelims on Friday, August 2. Gordon says she and her team will be at work cheering her on.
