Internet couple, Ling and Lamb sing Jamaica’s praises following recent island exploits
KINGSTON, Jamaica – During their recent trip to Jamaica, internet sensations Yinka “Lamb” Lawanson and Taccara “Ling” Lawanson (Ling and Lamb) fully immersed themselves in the Jamaican culture.
From enjoying the island’s street eats, to partying it up on the entertainment scene at Reggae Sumfest, the husband-and-wife duo deep-dived into all things Jamaican.
In an interview with Observer Online during their island stay, Ling and Lamb professed their love for ‘The Rock’ as they lamented the end of their brief vacation. Vowing to make the trek back to the ‘876,’ the couple said Jamaica is on their list of all-time favourite places to visit.
“Our time in Jamaica was just explosive. It has been unimaginable, beyond anything I could have dreamt up. We’ve been everywhere and its just been amazing,” said Lamb, while his wife nodded in agreement.
“I didn’t even know Jamaica had this much to offer and exploring the island was exhausting but in the best way possible. We want to come back again and again,” Ling said. “We’ve touched everywhere, Ocho Rios, Kingston, Montego Bay, Portland. We were literally at the top of the Blue Mountains and it was spectacular.”
The pair who was spotted trying Hominy corn porridge, jerk chicken from Northside and KFC (which they treated the entire store to), said the Jamaican cuisine left them speechless.
“Out of the new things we tried on this trip, the Hominy corn porridge was out of this world. But, we’ve literally enjoyed everything,” said Ling, while Lamb added, “that was mind-blowing but the KFC (Bar-b-que) chicken was perfect.”

Admitting that their fanbase has grown significantly over the past few years, Ling and Lamb said they were pleasantly surprised to see so many Jamaicans following their journey. Expressing gratitude at the support, the couple said they are beyond excited to see how far their social media platform takes them. For Lamb specifically, he hopes to do even more in the entertainment fraternity. As a recording artiste who has already done a song with Beenie Man, Lamb says he’s looking to do so much more.
Lamb popped onto to the stage during Reggae Sumfest’s Street Dance in Montego Bay on July 15 where he performed his most recent single, God Is Not Done.
“There are so many Jamaican artistes that I still want to work with. There’s Shenseea, Koffee, Busy Signal and if God permits, one day, hopefully I would love to have a song with Buju Banton,” Lamb whose artiste name is Lamboginny said. “My sound is very inspirational and I just want to continue putting that good energy out there through my music.”
