Drive, performance, and fuel economy hallmark new model
The most successful BMW model in Jamaica, the X3, is expected to see launch of its fourth-generation this November.
“The BMW X3 has become a consistent customer favourite in Jamaica for its drive, performance, and fuel economy, and the 2025 version of this enduring SAV will only help the X3’s sustained popularity islandwide. Positioned between its smaller, new BMW X1 sibling, and larger, facelifted X5, X6, and X7 siblings, the new BMW X3 is expected to target customers who drive Japanese and Korean-manufactured compact SUVs, but are desirous of moving up to a mid-sized SAV as they venture into the premium car market. If one is looking for the ideal combination of luxury and versatility, they should look no further than BMW,” said Sloane Jackson, head of business, BMW Jamaica.
A new design language for the exterior featuring crisply defined lines helps to give the 2025 BMW X3 distinctive BMW X model proportions. Inside, the progressively designed cabin sets the tone for premium ambience with high-quality materials, a far more generous standard specification, advanced digitalisation, and the new BMW iDrive with BMW OS9.
“This will be the first BMW model available in Jamaica across all the major groups, mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), electric vehicle (EV), and M performance,” he said.
For now, the new BMW X3 will be available locally in the xDrive20i trim boasting a 2.0L, inline four-cylinder petrol engine delivering 208hp, 243lb/ft of torque, with BMW’s signature xDrive all-wheel drive. Both mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, and a full-electric model are due in 2025.
