Morgan, Malcolm take BirdShack St Ann Domino Championship

National Association of Domino Bodies (NADB) Acting President Humbert Davis has hailed the 2025 BirdShack Fried Chicken St Ann Domino Tournament a success in promoting dominoes and community engagement.

The tournament, which was held at the BirdShack Fried Chicken Ocho Rios Bypass Plaza on Sunday, featured over 40 pairs competing in a knockout format for pairs.

David Morgan and Orlando Malcolm won the title, defeating Vaughn Wright and Kevon Miller 10-6 in the grand final, winning $250,000. Wright and Miller put up a good fight, earning $150,000 for their efforts. The third-place team received $50,000.

Davis praised the tournament, highlighting what he considers excitement and competition among participants.

“The 2025 BirdShack Fried Chicken St Ann Domino Tournament was an outstanding event, showcasing the best of dominoes in the community,” he told the Jamaica Observer. “The level of skill and sportsmanship displayed by all the pairs was truly amazing.”

“I congratulate all the winners and participants on their achievements. Special congratulations to David Morgan and Orlando Malcolm on their well-deserved win. Their strategy and teamwork were on full display, and it’s a testament to their skill and experience. And also congratulations to Vaughn Wright and Kevon Miller for their outstanding effort; they played really well to reach the final but were outdone by the better pair on the day.

“We’re thrilled with the turnout and the enthusiasm of the players. It’s events like these that help to promote the game and bring our community together. Many thanks to BirdShack Fried Chicken for their commitment to nation-building,” Davis said.
