Deportee arrested on arrival for alleged sexual offence
ST MARY, Jamaica — A man who was wanted for having sex with a person under the age of 16 was arrested and charged upon arrival following his deportation from the United States.
Charged is 28-year-old Sanjay “Sicky” Walsh, a forklift operator of Connecticut and Tremolesworth, St Mary.
Reports are that Walsh arrived on the island on Wednesday and was met at the airport by law enforcement officers with a warrant for his arrest. Walsh was reportedly being charged in connection with a 2017-2018 incident in which he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a then 15-year-old girl.
The complainant, who is now 23 years old reported that she had met Walsh in 2016 and they developed a relationship. It is alleged that they engaged in sexual intercourse during the stated period.
A formal report was made, however, Walsh had migrated. A warrant was therefore issued for his arrest on his arrival back on the island.
