GolfView Hotel hosts Father’s Day celebrations with ‘Miles With Dads’

MANCHESTER, JAMAICA –GolfView Hotel hosted its second annual “Miles With Dads” Father’s Day Car Show and Domino Tournament on Sunday,  proving once again that innovation and heartfelt experiences can redefine traditional hospitality.

The hotel’s decision to blend automotive culture with family celebration positions GolfView as more than a place of lodging; it is emerging as a cultural connector and event trendsetter in central Jamaica.

Held on the hotel’s grounds in the heart of Mandeville, this year’s event drew an impressive turnout of fathers, families, car enthusiasts, and community members.

The day featured a full slate of activities that honoured the spirit of fatherhood through powerful visual and interactive experiences.

Rows of classic, custom, and performance vehicles were proudly displayed for judging and public enjoyment, transforming the hotel into a temporary motor arena.

Side-by-side, a vibrant domino tournament offered fathers and friends the chance to connect over one of Jamaica’s most beloved games.

Adding a dynamic touch for younger attendees, VR World from Kingston introduced high-tech interactive entertainment to the event. Their virtual driving simulators and gaming stations transformed the hotel’s auditorium into a futuristic hub of fun and exploration.

Among the most talked-about highlights was the drifting showcase that began at 5:00 pm.

Skilled drivers demonstrated control, precision, and flair to the excitement of the crowd. Competitive categories elevated the stakes further, as car owners contended for top titles including Best Show-Car, Best Interior, Best Exterior, Cleanest Engine Bay, Best Burnout, and Most Unique Rims.

Addressing the boldness of the concept, General Director Peter Campbell noted, “While this event may not align with the traditional image of hotel hospitality, we saw it as a meaningful risk, one worth taking. Just as fathers take bold steps every day for the well-being of their families, we chose to step beyond the expected to create a space of connection, recognition, and lasting memories in their honour.”
